In September, savings activity of individuals in national currency increased in Belarus.
This is evidenced by data from the National Bank.
According to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus , in September, fixed-term ruble deposits of individuals increased by 302 million rubles, and as of October 1 they reached 10 billion rubles.
Since the beginning of the year, fixed-term deposits of individuals in Belarusian rubles have increased by 2 billion rubles.
The growth of deposits was facilitated by attractive conditions for long-term deposits.
In September, almost half of the volume of deposits from individuals was attracted by banks for a period of more than one year (of which 93% were irrevocable long-term deposits with an average yield of 13.5% per annum).
Term deposits of individuals in foreign currency continue to decline.
Having decreased by $43 million in September, they amounted to $2.6 billion on October 1.
Since the beginning of the year, fixed-term deposits of individuals in foreign currency have decreased by 407 million dollars.
The share of the ruble component in the structure of term deposits of individuals increased from 46% to 55% in January-September, which indicates the continuing devaluation of the economy.
