Next year, Belarus plans to tighten the requirements for localization of domestic products for issuing the preferential loan “For native goods”.
The first deputy head of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic, Andrey Kartun, reported this.
According to him, the Na Rodnyya Tavary credit program has been extended to 2025, but the list of goods included in it will be “tied to the localization of production.”
The specialist explained: if, for example, a furniture manufacturer only buys components abroad and stores them, then this will not be considered Belarusian production.
We will tighten the requirements for localization, Belta quotes the official as saying.
He added: the Council of Ministers’ resolution “On confirmation of industrial production on the territory of the Republic of Belarus” will specify what a “Belarusian product” is.
In connection with this, the list of domestic products will be significantly revised and shortened.
A representative of the Ministry of Economy believes that too many furniture manufacturers have been included in this register, using over 90% of imported components.
It turns out, in essence, that funds are leaving our country, and now we will support those who have a high level of localization. For example, in our refrigerators, where this level reaches 70%, - noted Kartun.
He clarified: the requirements for the level of localization are currently being developed; they will depend on the specific product.
If you want to get into such preferential programs, improve your localization, the First Deputy Minister recommended to producers.
The Ministry of Industry will be responsible for this segment of work, and the Ministry of Economy “will give impetus to this work.”
