Probably, in connection with the dollar going crazy in November, Belarusians went on a massive assault on exchange offices, selling their currency reserves.
During the month in question, citizens sold $21 million more than they bought.
This information was released by the press service of the National Bank of Belarus.
According to the regulator, in November, Belarusians bought cash and non-cash currency for a total of 978.4 million dollars.
But in the last month of autumn, our compatriots sold currencies worth almost a billion dollars – a total of 999.4 million dollars.
Well, over the 11 months of this year, individuals sold cash and non-cash foreign currency worth 1.532 billion dollars more than they bought.
The National Bank records a completely different situation with legal entities that became net buyers of foreign currency in November.
Thus, companies purchased currencies worth $518.7 million more than they sold.
In total, in November they bought foreign currencies for $2.941 billion and sold them for $2.422 billion.
According to the results of 11 months of 2024, legal entities bought $2.666 billion more currency than they sold.
