MART Head: Price regulation system will be transformed, we are preparing several options
The price regulation system in Belarus will be transformed; several options are being prepared.
This was announced on October 17 by the Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, Alexey Bogdanov.
How is it planned to change the price regulation system?
Bogdanov recalled that the price regulation system provided for by government decree No. 713 continues to operate at present.
According to the head of the department, this system has proven its effectiveness.
The system is not simple, there is no other like it in the world. However, it has proven its effectiveness, - the head of MART said in an interview with the TV channel "First Information" .
Now, the minister continued, work is underway to transform this system.
We understand perfectly well that such a strict system of measures is temporary, ” Bogdanov said, recalling that the system was introduced in 2022 against the backdrop of external shocks.
According to him, several options will be ready for discussion by the new year.
The head of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade clarified that the plan is not to tighten the system, but to improve it and make it fair for all participants in the economic process.
And so that the consumer is satisfied when buying goods at a fair price, the minister added.
