What has increased in price the most in Belarus in September

Last month in Belarus the prices for tourism services, fruits, cultural services and footwear increased the most.

The National Statistical Committee reported this on Telegram.

How prices changed in Belarus in September

According to Belstat, the consumer price index (CPI) for goods and services last month was 100.4% compared to August and 103.8% compared to December last year.

The core CPI, which excludes changes in prices for some goods and services affected by seasonal and administrative factors, was 100.6% in September compared to August, and 104.2% compared to December of last year.

Non-food products increased in price by 5% compared to August, food products also increased by 5%, and services increased by 3%.

Compared to September last year, non-food products became more expensive by 4.2%, food products by 7.5%, and services by 5.6%.

The biggest price increases last month were for tourism services (by 5.2%), fruit (by 4%), cultural services (by 2.9%) and footwear (by 2.9%).

The prices for educational services (by 2%), vegetable oil (by 1.9%), legumes and cereals (by 1.2%), furniture (by 0.7%) and household electrical appliances (0.6%) also increased.

In September, prices for preschool services (by 8.5%), vegetables (by 3.3%) and televisions (by 0.3%) fell.
