Belarus announces launch of new plant. Will produce passenger vehicles
At the beginning of next year, they want to launch a new plant in Belarus (based on the Minsk Automobile Plant). It will produce passenger vehicles.
It is expected that the enterprise will produce approximately 3,000 units of passenger vehicles annually.
The head of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic, Alexander Efimov, made this announcement on the ONT TV channel.
At the beginning of next year, we will launch the Minsk Automobile Plant in terms of new production, the minister said.
According to him, the modern enterprise is expected to produce approximately 3,000 units of passenger vehicles.
Thanks to this, Efimov said, it will be possible to further “increase MAZ’s export potential.”
In addition, in the coming years, technological processing complexes at BELAZ will be modernized.
And at Gomselmash, it is planned to implement large projects related to the expansion of the “range of manufactured combines and the creation of our own component base,” the head of the department noted.
He also announced the intention to “shift from import substitution to import advancement.”
Particular attention is paid to technological sovereignty, including within the framework of the Union State.
In total, our program includes more than 60 large, significant investment projects with a fairly serious volume of several billion rubles, Efimov concluded.
