Next year, Belarus plans to produce at least 2 million tons of oil.
The corresponding plans were announced by the General Director of the Belorusneft company, Alexander Lyakhov.
As for the current year, according to the top manager, the production volume is expected to be no less than 1,930,000 tons.
According to the results of 8 months of 2024, the indicator reached 1,278,000 tons and exceeded last year’s level, the Belta agency cites the figures named by the CEO.
Lyakhov states that the figures he published are very serious “for our region”; they exceeded the planned level.
The production structure is made up of a carry-over well stock; production is also carried out through geological and technical activities, where we have also exceeded planned targets, the specialist noted.
He promised that the figures for the extraction of black gold from new wells and sidetracks would be record-breaking in recent decades.
He emphasized that today a reserve has been created not only for the next year, but also for the period up to 2030.
As for 2025, the CEO said the following:
We plan to extract at least two million tons of oil - that's how much was extracted more than 30 years ago.
According to him, the work currently being carried out in terms of geology, oil production technologies, and hard-to-recover reserves indicates that there will continue to be growth in the volume of oil production.
