Lace napkins are one of the main decorative elements used during the Soviet era.

As the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, said, they were most often knitted by hand, after which they were used as decoration for tables, cabinets, TVs and other surfaces.

Unfortunately, for modern people these things are not exclusive products, but outdated and forgotten junk.

But if it so happens that you become the owner of such a rarity, find a little time to wash, bleach and iron the lace.

These lacy napkins will make your apartment sparkle with new colors: the rooms will become much cozier and warmer, and this is exactly what modern apartments lack.

You can follow your grandmother's example and lay napkins on the table or cover the nightstand with them.

Or you can turn on your creativity and place the napkin in a photo frame, then hang it on the wall. Try putting a napkin on a lampshade - and an interesting decorative item is ready.

Cushion covers on sofa cushions or even Christmas tree decorations can be made of lace.

And to create original candlesticks or stands for stationery, it is enough to decorate glass jars with lace.
