Paint, decorative plaster and wallpaper are not the only ways to decorate walls. It is said that forgotten techniques called "friction", "stamping" and "combing" are back in fashion.
Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, told how to decorate walls interestingly with paint.
Friction technique
After applying a layer of paint to the wall, you need to use any object that you use to move it along the wall in the direction in which the paint layer is applied.
It is important that the pressure is the same – then the pattern will be uniform.
You can use anything for this technique, even a cloth napkin.
Combing technique
It is suggested to apply the paint over the freshly painted surface using a notched trowel, roller or other object with sharp teeth.
This is a faster way to decorate walls compared to others.
Stamping technique
The best tool for creating a design is a flexible brush, a dish sponge or other similar object.
The process is tedious, because you have to stamp a large area. Therefore, the larger the object for stamping the design, the faster you will cope with the task.
