Just because you don't spend much time in your bathroom doesn't mean you can do a mediocre renovation there.
But the lack of repairs is one thing. An expensive interior with a bunch of shortcomings is another.
Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, told us what mistakes in bathroom renovation should be avoided in advance.
There are only five of them, but correcting these flaws, if it comes to that, can be very expensive.
1. If you are going to change the bathtub, then its dimensions need to be taken after the walls have been tiled.
Leveling the walls, plus the glue and the tiles themselves can steal a few centimeters, which is fraught with new expenses.
2. There can't be too much light in the bathroom. In addition to the ceiling lamp, think about how to make a backlight near the mirror.
3. Not installing electrical outlets is another unhealthy idea.
But if you do decide to install a socket, don’t limit yourself to just one – at least a couple.
4. Provide a place to store household chemicals, equipment, dirty laundry and other things.
It wouldn't be good if all this had to be shoved into corners.
5. When choosing floor tiles, think about safety. Beautiful glossy tiles can be slippery.
By eliminating these mistakes, you will be able to immediately cover all your needs and avoid additional expenses.
