As a rule, this "object" can be seen in small kitchens, where there is not enough space for a full-fledged dining table. No less often, a bar counter is found in studio apartments - here it is used as a means of zoning the space.
Its undeniable advantage is its stylish appearance: with the help of a bar counter it is easy to bring a touch of chic and casualness to the interior.
Further on, there are only disadvantages: according to the owners of the bar counter, it is very inconvenient to use it. It gets in the way and “cuts off” the area of the room, it is inconvenient to cook or eat behind it.
So it turns out that the bar counter does not perform any functions - except perhaps an aesthetic one.
Instead, the expert advises taking a closer look at an island set, which combines the functions of several items at once: a dining table, a workspace, and a desired counter.
The kitchen island provides enough space for all activities: eating, cooking and working.
Finally, the island provides the ability to divide the space into zones and serves as a convenient storage system: many drawers and shelves allow you to effectively place food and dishes.
