Not all elements of the Soviet interior should be mercilessly sent to the trash: this applies, first of all, to cast-iron heating radiators.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, radiators in general cannot be called the most aesthetic element of the interior, regardless of what material they are made of - cast iron or a more modern version.

Despite this, you will always have time to hide them from prying eyes.

But to start with, it’s worth trying to approach the issue creatively: we assure you that as a result, you will be able to turn old Soviet batteries into a real work of art.

The first thing to do is to adequately assess the condition of the heating devices.

If it is assessed as satisfactory, you can safely pick up a brush, paint and start painting the batteries in a new color.

Which shade to choose? It can match the tone of the curtains, carpet, walls or, on the contrary, be contrasting.

Neutral-colored radiators such as black, gray and white are perfect for loft and minimalist styles.

In turn, colored radiators look spectacular against the background of neutral walls, and in a child's room, old-style cast iron radiators can be repainted in several colors at once, thereby turning them into something like multi-colored pencils.
