Any storage should be organized in such a way that it can be called neat and minimalistic - including when it comes to items in the kitchen.
But many housewives, frankly speaking, ignore this rule, bitterly notes the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino.
If you don't want to be like them, take note of the following tips.
The tabletop should be free of unnecessary items. It is allowed to leave only a small tray with the necessary spices in beautiful containers and small household appliances used every day (kettle, coffee maker). The rest of the surface should remain empty.
Keep open shelf storage as similar as possible. When it comes to dishes, choose solid or two-colored items, while spices should be stored in stylish jars rather than store-bought packages.
The maximum on the kitchen table is a vase of flowers or a beautiful bowl filled with fruit.
Do not leave all sorts of things on the windowsills, as is common practice in many families. Standard-sized windowsills should remain free, and if they are wide and low, organize a recreation area or additional seating area there. Plants, like food, should be removed from kitchen windowsills to another place.
