Furniture intended for installation in bathrooms is usually coated by the manufacturer with special water-repellent compounds.

This, as designer Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, explains, makes it resistant to external factors – temperature, humidity, etc.

However, you shouldn’t think that such furniture can be watered every day and nothing will happen to it.

As a result of regular "bath procedures" the furniture will swell.

Here is the answer to the question of why it is not recommended to place the cabinet in close proximity to the sink, since this significantly increases the risk of it getting wet.

What to do? It's simple - when thinking about the arrangement of items in the bathroom, make sure that there is at least 10 cm of free space between the bathtub and the furniture - this, by the way, is the advice of the manufacturers themselves.

It would be even better to install a glass partition that would separate the plumbing from the cabinet.

Thanks to such a simple solution, water is guaranteed not to end up on interior items, which will undoubtedly prolong the life of the cabinet or wardrobe.
