As a rule, when choosing furniture (including sofas), most people look for safe and neutral options.
Such products do not attract much attention and are guaranteed to fit into the interior.
Indeed, there is nothing wrong with relying on proven color combinations, says designer Yulia Tychino, an expert at the online publication BelNovosti.
But the expert also suggests leaving your comfort zone and livening up the room with a bold accent that you might have been afraid to even think about before.
A bright sofa will be a wonderful addition to a calm, light interior in white, gray or beige tones.
Such furniture can enliven not only interiors decorated in Scandinavian style, but also flashy rooms: if you try to fit a yellow, turquoise or orange interior into the room, you will create an interior in the kitsch style.
The main thing at this stage is not to overdo it and end up with a tasteless picture.
To prevent this from happening, make sure that the color of the sofa matches harmoniously with the rest of the elements of the room.
However, the most successful combinations with colored sofas are obtained in monochrome, black and white and single-color interiors.
The advantage is that in this case you don’t have to bother with choosing textiles of the same shade – let the sofa become the main accent in the room.
