Many people have a bad habit of filling their rooms with furniture from top to bottom.
They believe that it is impossible to do without a sofa, a couple of armchairs, a large bookcase, a coffee table, shelves and other items.
The harmful addictions regarding furniture do not end there, says designer Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti.
The second common mistake is placing furniture along the walls, which is already outdated.
If you want to keep up with the times and fashion, create a compositional center around which accessories will be located. This way, the interior will look much more interesting.
The third habit that further cheapens the furnishings is a commitment to furniture sets consisting of armchairs and a sofa, a bed and bedside tables, a table and chairs from the same collection.
If you look at modern stylish interiors, you will understand that none of them have sets.
The designer advises choosing things that at first glance seem incompatible, but in fact combine harmoniously and enrich the environment.
For example, you can buy a bright sofa that will become the center of the composition, and choose neutral armchairs to go with it.
Or another option: buy a fabric bed and place a wrought iron loft-style table or a homemade nightstand made from books and old suitcases next to it.
