Mini office
The window sill can act as a small work desk – since you don’t have to put a separate desk in the room, there is more space in it.
If the window is large, you can add shelves or narrow cabinets on the sides, and if the width of the countertop allows, then a cabinet underneath it. Consider adding thickness to the window sill and building a drawer into it.
Place of rest
If the window sill is low and wide, it can easily be transformed into a mini-sofa. To do this, spread a soft mattress on the window sill, put pillows and a blanket here and you can start relaxing.
Bar counter
To free up space in a small kitchen, you can turn the windowsill into a bar counter.
Its width does not matter - even on the narrowest surface there will be a place for a couple of cups and plates. And if the window sill is wide enough, you can create a full-fledged dining area.
