How to Make a Space as Open as Possible: Here's What to Remove from a Room First - 4 Things

If the apartment is too cramped, then it is unlikely that you will be able to limit yourself to visual expansion of the space.

Of course, mirrors and light wallpaper will help to visually make the room more spacious.

But the room also needs to be freed from real clutter. To do this, you will have to remove some things.

There is no other way out. Without taking serious measures, it will not be possible to turn a very cramped space into a comfortable one: no design tricks will help.

Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti in the field of design and interior design, listed the items that should be removed from the room first.

Huge sofas and armchairs

If the room is too cramped, then it is not worth keeping a whole set of furniture there.

One sofa or armchair will be enough. Perhaps it makes sense to remove this furniture completely: it is possible that a couple of chairs will be enough.

Large nightstands

Huge nightstands that store almost nothing, just take up space.

Huge wardrobe

Wardrobes also “eat up” a lot of space.

If you have nowhere else to put your clothes, you should think about replacing large furniture with built-in furniture.

Kitchen utensils

All pots, pans, plates, spoons, forks and knives should be hidden in cabinets and drawers.

You shouldn't leave huge kitchen utensils on the table either.

Previously, hopelessly outdated techniques in hallway design were listed.
