The organization of lighting in the bedroom is of great importance.
Correctly placed lamps will make the room more comfortable and cozy.
However, many people “spoil” the bedroom by placing the chandelier directly above the bed.
Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti in the field of design and interior, explained why this action is a gross mistake.
Many bedrooms are small, so the bed will likely "take over" the central part of the room.
This means that the furniture will be directly under the chandelier, which is usually located in the middle of the ceiling to distribute light evenly throughout the room.
And yet, the bed should be positioned so that it is not under the lamp. There is another way out: move the chandelier.
Otherwise, a person in the bedroom and sitting/lying on the bed will be constantly faced with blinding light.
But the lighting in the rest room should be soft and moderate. Otherwise, it will be difficult to relax.
If it is impossible to move the bed or rehang the chandelier, it is better not to turn on the latter at all. In this case, it is recommended to use only bedside lamps, sconces and floor lamps.
