Not every home has large, spacious bedrooms, but that doesn't mean they can't be made comfortable!
ADVICE.NEWS reports: If you want to fit a bed into your small bedroom, it can be tricky, but still possible.
Here are some tips to help you do this.
Take a look at your small bedroom and measure the dimensions of the space where you want to place the bed.
Consider the length, width and height of the bed.
Choose a bed size that fits well into the available space. Typically, beds come in single, double, queen, and king sizes.
If necessary, choose a smaller bed to leave as much open space in the bedroom as possible.
Determine the best location in the room to place the bed.
Consider factors such as accessibility, natural light, electrical outlets, and the placement of other furniture.
Look for compact bed designs that help you optimize the available space. For example, consider a loft bed with a desk or storage space underneath.
You may also want to consider a platform bed with built-in drawers for extra storage.
Place the bed against one wall of the room. This will increase the unused floor space and make the room feel less cramped.
If possible, position the bed along a wall to create a sense of openness.
Make sure there is enough space around the bed to move around comfortably.
Provide at least 0.5-1 m of free space on each side and at the foot of the bed.
Choose furniture pieces that can do multiple jobs to save space.
For example, use a nightstand with drawers for extra storage or a headboard with built-in shelves.
