You can get rid of the feeling of cramped space with the help of properly selected furniture.
Furniture items should be painted to match the walls, explains designer Yulia Tychino, an expert at the online publication BelNovosti.
The logic behind this technique, which is used for interior design, is very simple: furniture that blends in with the walls does not attract attention and is not conspicuous.
However, when using this trick, you should be extremely careful not to “dissolve” all the furniture in the existing environment - otherwise the eye will have nothing to catch on to.
Instead of diving headfirst into monochrome, use it sparingly.
Only large furniture, such as, for example, a wardrobe in the bedroom, which takes up a lot of space, should match the color of the walls.
But small and “light” interior items, on the contrary, should attract attention – this could be a bright armchair, a bedside table on carved legs or a contrasting floor lamp.
With their help, you can forget about the actual size of the room.
