Not all interior trends meet the requirement of practicality, and glass tables are one of them.
BelNovosti online publication expert and designer Yulia Tychino spoke about the pros and cons of such an interior element.
First, let's destroy the myth about the "capriciousness" of the material - there is an opinion that a glass tabletop is very easy to damage.
In fact, this is not true, since the manufacturer uses durable and tempered glass to produce such furniture.
It is resistant to external influences, such as moisture, temperature fluctuations or heavy weight.
In addition, the advantages of glass tables include the fact that small contaminants are not able to penetrate the structure of the glass, unlike products made from wood.
Finally, we can confidently say that such furniture fits well into the interior and looks “airy”.
But glass tabletops have other qualities that can completely discourage you from using them. First of all, it is worth clarifying that stains often remain on glass, which means that wiping it with a damp cloth will not be enough.
In addition, under the glass, your feet and the mess (if there is any, of course) will be in full view.
And finally, every time you set the table or, at the very least, put a cup on it, the ringing will be heard throughout the entire apartment.
