According to popular beliefs and Eastern teachings, a mirror in the bedroom is not the most necessary decorative element or interior item.

When decorating a bedroom in this way, you need to think about the health consequences and use the best, safest option.

Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti in the field of design and interior, explained why you shouldn’t sleep in front of a mirror.

Why You Shouldn't Place a Mirror Opposite Your Bed

Firstly, if you hang it opposite the bed, it will reflect light from the street, and this will affect the quality of sleep. The mirror will amplify any glimmer and interfere with sleep.

Secondly, the mirror multiplies negative energy. In other words, if you fall asleep in front of the mirror in a bad mood, by the morning you will feel even more depressed and broken. But this is "mysticism".

Thirdly, a mirror in the bedroom makes a person dig deeper into his shortcomings if he sees his reflection in it before going to bed.

Where to hang a mirror

In fact, this does not mean that there is no place for a mirror in the bedroom. There are several good options.

So you can hang it in a corner or on the wall next to the bed, but not opposite.

A great option is to hang a mirror on a closet door that can be closed.

You can also use a small mirror and keep it on your dressing table.
