An interior decorated “like in Soviet times” is considered outdated.

Many devices and pieces of furniture that were popular in the USSR have long gone out of fashion.

However, among the old things there are also those that will decorate the premises.

Certain details of the Soviet interior will make an apartment more stylish even today.

The interior will be perceived not as out of fashion, but as vintage.

Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, listed five Soviet things that can be safely left in the apartment: they will create an interesting retro style.

Carpet

It would seem that a carpet can hardly be called a fashionable thing. And many people try not to use it as a floor covering (and even more so - a wall covering).

However, if we are talking about a carpet made of high-quality material, it will decorate the room and make it more comfortable.

Telephone with a disk

Remember those rotary phones? To call someone, you had to turn the dial on the device.

Representatives of the younger generation will be surprised and perhaps even laugh at this device.

But it is worth emphasizing that the rotary dial phone will be a beautiful retro detail for any interior. The device will look interesting both in the hallway and in the living room.

Lighting fixtures

Soviet chandeliers had an interesting appearance, but later they began to be considered outdated.

Now such ceiling lamps can be used in the interior again. Such devices have come into fashion again.

Radio

Soviet radios looked beautiful, especially if the case was wooden.

Nowadays, such a vintage item will look great even in a modern interior.

"Wall"

Most Soviet apartments had a standard furniture set.

We are talking about several cabinets with a large number of sections.

Such furniture items have long gone out of fashion. But the "wall" can easily be turned into an interior feature by simply painting it.
