Not everyone is lucky enough to have a spacious kitchen in their home where they can install both a kitchen island and a dining area.
But in modern realities, not everything is so bad and you can comfortably dine in the kitchen even in a small Khrushchev-era apartment.
Where to place the dining area in a small kitchen?

Option one
If there is a balcony, you can sacrifice it by combining or simply moving the dining area to the insulated balcony.
Option two
When there is no balcony and the kitchen is critically small, many decide to combine the kitchen with the living room. But not everyone has such opportunities.
Option three
When there is something to combine, but the budget, technical conditions or other reasons do not allow it, you will have to look for a solution in furniture.
You will have to sacrifice a large rectangular table in favor of a round or square one. This can be a folding model.
You can also arrange a table or counter on a high windowsill, placing a couple of bar stools next to it.
Another option for this case is a folding tabletop fixed to the wall.
