First, the gender and age of the child
Bright colors with a pattern will also be suitable for a room for children. If we are talking about a teenager, then here there can already be only single-color curtains, or with a geometric or abstract pattern. For young men - simple and straight, and for girls - elegant curtains with drapery.
Secondly, it is easy to care for.
Curtains in the nursery will need to be washed more often. Therefore, they should be easy to remove and put back, and not shrink after washing.
It is also better to use linen or cotton, wool or bamboo fabrics - they do not collect dust as much.
Thirdly, functionality
They should protect from bright sun and night street lighting. These can be either roller models or classic floor-length curtains.
Fourthly, aesthetics
With all these qualities, curtains should harmoniously match the interior, the color of the walls and furniture, as well as the textiles in the child’s room.

If the windows face west or north, experts advise choosing warm shades. In this case, the room will be cozier and brighter.
