Why You Shouldn't Break Up Space into Separate Rooms: It's No Longer a Trend

The years go by, which means that trends that were at the peak of popularity just a couple of years ago are no longer relevant.

According to Yulia Tychino , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, among the interior design techniques that should be abandoned is dividing the space into separate rooms.

It is no secret that when choosing an apartment, people often look for housing with an open layout.

This is done in order to later turn the apartment into at least a 3-room apartment, which can be done with the help of many walls and doors, because you want each family member to have a separate corner.

However, it often happens that as a result the overall integrity of the apartment is lost, and it is no longer possible to give the space logic and preserve air.

Note: the smaller the area of the living space, the more interior partitions steal square footage.

Experts see only one way out of this situation, and it is to unite the space without unnecessary partitions.

Large and spacious spaces are currently at the peak of popularity. With proper zoning, you can organize all the necessary zones.

If you find yourself in a similar situation, consider the following solutions:

  • combine the kitchen with a cozy living room;
  • set up a minimalist work area in a functional bedroom;
  • Place a soft seating area in the kitchen, etc.
