How to use figurines in the interior: not a dust collector, but a decoration
Not all people perceive figurines as a decorative element - there are those who consider such items to be “dust collectors”.
However, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , if you use the figurines wisely, they will become a wonderful decoration, add zest to the interior and will attract admiring glances.
This goal can be achieved only by following a number of rules. Fortunately, there is nothing complicated about them.
Firstly, you should avoid “accessories” made from cheap materials, primarily plastic.
Such figurines will only spoil the appearance of the room.
Secondly, do not use old-fashioned motifs, including ballerinas, angels, female silhouettes - in general, everything that can often be found on the shelves of Soviet sideboards.
While there is nothing wrong with them, such figurines have long been outdated.
What is fashionable? The trend is adaptations of famous sculptors' works, simple forms and ironic plots. In addition, house figurines in different execution techniques deserve attention.
