Do you want to know what finishing materials can create decorative patterns and visually hide all the flaws that can be seen on the wall?
According to the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , plaster or putty will help to achieve the set goal.
To achieve this effect, you should stock up on a regular trowel and, using wide and sweeping movements, leave strokes of gypsum plaster on the walls.
After the plaster has dried, it needs to be primed and painted white.
For this option, you will first have to clean the wall down to the plaster and then apply a thin layer of putty on top.
While the wall is drying, place 3-4 slaps of putty on a sheet of plywood or plasterboard lying on the floor and press down with a trowel - this will imprint the composition on the surface of the tool, after which you will only have to apply it to the wall in a chaotic manner.
Wait until the putty dries a little, and use a spatula to lightly “smooth” it (the key word is lightly).
Now it's time for the vacuum cleaner - after you've gotten rid of the excess on the wall, apply contrasting paint or alkyd enamel into the recesses to achieve a marble effect.
The last thing to do is to sand off the top layer when the paint is dry. All that's left is to vacuum one last time and apply a few coats of varnish.
