Mistake number one: not enough sockets
The golden rule of renovation is: there can never be too many sockets. Even if you don't plan to plug anything into the network in this place now, after the renovation is finished, you will definitely need one there.
The most common example: the child is small, so the parents did not provide an electrical outlet in the place where the student's desk will later be located.
It is necessary not only to consider where sockets are needed now, but also to install a couple of spare ones where they may be useful in the future.

Mistake number two: not taking into account the characteristics of household members
In addition to taking into account the interests of household members, you will have to pay attention to their physical characteristics.
For example, install switches at the right height and make a custom kitchen if the height of the people living in the house differs greatly from the average.
If there are elderly people or people with leg diseases in a multi-story building, it is better to arrange a bedroom for them on the first floor.
If a tall person lives in the house, make sure that he/she will not hit the doorway, chandelier or decorative elements with his/her head. In the children's room, make sure that the windows do not open and all corners are rounded.
Mistake number three: uneven floor
Make sure the floor is level. If a crooked floor in living rooms has a negative effect on the floor covering, then in the bathroom it is fraught with more serious problems.
For example, water in a shower stall will flow not into the drain hole, but to the wall opposite it.
Mistake number four: not having a plan
First, you should decide on your wishes, consider your possibilities and budget. This is especially important if you hire builders. The team will not wait two weeks while you decide what tiles to put in the bathroom and what wallpaper you want for the children's room.
You will have to choose everything here and now. In this case, there is a high risk of making the wrong decision.
And the biggest mistake that many people make is saving on specialists and materials. Of course, you can do the repairs yourself, but in this case you must understand all the risks. But even in this case, you cannot save on those specialists on whom safety depends. If a mistake in cosmetic repairs can be corrected over time, then mistakes in working with electricity are fraught with serious consequences.
