Sad news for lovers of classic Russian and Soviet cinema came from the poet Alexander Pravikov.

He reported that Russian poet and bard Dmitry Sukharev, author of the song “Alexandra,” known to millions of citizens of the CIS countries (and not only), had died.

The same one that won the hearts of viewers when it was featured in Vladimir Menshov’s Oscar-winning film, Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears.

By the way, the film was also awarded the USSR State Prize.

As Pravikov reports on his page on the social network VKontakte, Sukharev died at the age of 94.
