The long-time host of the cult TV show “Club of the Funny and Inventive” Alexander Vasilyevich Maslyakov has passed away.
The Russian television personality was 82 years old.
Maslyakov died on Sunday, September 8.

Maslyakov was born on November 24, 1941 in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg).
Alexander Vasilyevich began his television career in 1964. At that time, Maslyakov was a student at the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineers.
Millions of viewers remember Maslyakov as the host of the following popular TV shows: “The Club of the Funny and Inventive”, “Hello, We’re Looking for Talents!”, “Come on, Girls!”, “Come on, Guys!”

Maslyakov made a huge contribution to the development of the KVN movement. He headed the International Union of KVN and the AMiK association.
In addition, Alexander Vasilyevich was the permanent host of the TV show "KVN" for a long time. He hosted this program from 1964 to 2022 (there was a break from the first half of the 1970s to 1986, when the program was not aired on Soviet TV).
