Many people now store baked goods in the refrigerator, and this is very much in vain.
We tell you how to store bread to protect it from mold, according to the 1956 GOST.
Nowadays, bread is usually stored in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.
And a sealed environment with high humidity is an ideal environment for mold growth.
Previously, bread was stored in a completely different way. According to the 1956 GOST, bread should be stored in a dry place isolated from sources of cooling at a temperature of at least +6 degrees.
The refrigerator does not meet these requirements. To prevent bread from becoming moldy a day after purchase, store it in a bread bin or wrapped in linen.
Or at least take it out of the bag for a short time after purchase to let it dry.
