Every housewife should prepare Olivier salad, especially when it comes to a festive table.
Olivier is very closely associated with New Year's holidays.
However, over time, both the hostess and her household get tired of cooking using the same recipe.
Therefore, you can try to prepare a layered version.
- a can of peas;
- about 400 grams of ham;
- two pickles;
- 3 boiled eggs;
- 2 boiled potatoes;
- 1 boiled carrot;
- a little onion;
- salt and mayonnaise.
The preparatory stage is not much different from the classic version of the salad. Boil eggs, potatoes, and carrots until done. Chop the ingredients finely, focusing on canned peas.
Don't forget to chop the ham. The onion should be scalded with boiling water.
Then we start laying out the salad. First comes the ham, then the peas, then we make a net of mayonnaise. On top we put again layers of potatoes, onions, cucumbers and carrots. Again we make a net of mayonnaise, put in chicken eggs. Some layers can be salted to make the dish more delicious.
You can also put some greenery on top.
