Mackerel is rarely served at a festive table. Although the fish is healthy, dishes made from it are everyday.
This cannot be said about the spectacular appetizer – jellied mackerel with prunes.
1. Clean the fish, prepare the fillet, cover the baking dish with parchment, grease with butter.
2. Cut the carrots into thin slices, place them in a single layer in the pan, then add the mackerel fillets.
3. Sprinkle the fish with salt, spices and instant gelatin.
4. Finely chop the prunes and scatter them over the fish, then thinly slice the onion and grated carrots, sprinkle with finely chopped herbs.
5. Mix eggs, salt, pepper, beat and add milk, stir and pour the mixture into the pan.
6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, put the fish away for 1 hour. When ready, let it cool and put it in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours, then serve.
Bon appetit!
