What is Greek pumpkin and how to cook it: an interesting recipe

We continue to prepare pumpkin dishes that charge the body with energy, vitamins and nutrients.

Greek pumpkin can be served as a stand-alone appetizer or as a side dish for fish or meat dishes.

You will need:

  • pumpkin - 500 g;
  • tomatoes - 250 g;
  • garlic - 3 cloves;
  • salt, pepper, basil - to taste,
  • vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.

Preparation

1. As usual, peel the pumpkin, remove the fibers and seeds. Cut the pulp into cubes smaller than average.

2. Fry the pumpkin in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil for 10 minutes until golden brown.

3. Cut the tomatoes into slices and add to the pumpkin, then garlic and spices. If the vegetables have released little juice, you can add a little water and stew them for 10 minutes.

4. Transfer the vegetables to a baking dish and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.

Serve as a side dish or as a separate dish.
