You can make a lot of different dishes from potatoes. Most often, the tubers are boiled, fried, used for potato pancakes, babka or casserole.
Few people know that you can make wonderful cutlets from potatoes. The recipe is almost Lenten.
1. Peel the potatoes, boil them, and make mashed potatoes.
2. After the puree has cooled, add the egg, herbs, salt, pepper to taste, you can add fried onions and fresh herbs.
3. Add 2 tablespoons of flour, mix, form cutlets and bread them in breadcrumbs or flour.
Fry in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil until golden brown.
