Coffee and ginger are a good pair when it comes to winter recipes. Not only does ginger coffee warm you up even better, it also invigorates you even more.
It is not difficult to prepare such a drink. The most important thing is to buy a fresh root.
It should be a beautiful, strong and elastic root. There should be no wrinkles or spots. Fresh ginger is light yellow when cut.
With it, the coffee will be aromatic, spicy, warming and invigorating.
The drink gives a significant boost of energy, and therefore it should not be consumed at night, unless, of course, you have to work at night.
Therefore, the best time is in the morning.
1. You need to brew coffee in the usual way - in a Turk, coffee machine, or even just brew it in a cup.
2. Peel the ginger root and chop it. It is easier to do this using a meat grinder or a fine grater.
3. Place ½ teaspoon of ginger mixture into a cup and let it brew for a couple of minutes.
Then, if you wish, you can strain the coffee through a sieve, but you can do without it. The fibers will settle to the bottom, and you can drink the coffee even when it's cold.
This drink will literally warm you from the inside.
You can add cinnamon, milk or cream to taste.
