Even cheap chicken gizzards will turn into a tender delicacy: here's how to cook them

You can also make an excellent dish from offal if you choose the right recipe.

Chicken gizzards can become the basis for a tender and piquant dish that will amaze everyone and, perhaps, will end up on the list of favorite recipes.

Ingredients

To prepare you will need:

  • chicken stomachs – 0.5 kg;
  • onion – 1 onion;
  • pickled cucumbers – 2 pcs.;
  • carrots – 1 pc.;
  • sour cream – 150 g;
  • fresh ginger root – 0.5 cm;
  • horseradish – 2 tbsp;
  • garlic – clove;
  • vegetable oil;
  • salt, black pepper and other spices.

How to cook a dish from chicken gizzards

1. Take a suitable pan, pour in water, add salt to the liquid and place the offal in it. Put the container on the fire.

2. Boil the gizzards for about 40 minutes. Then cut the offal into small pieces. Chop the onion and carrot.

3. Grate the garlic and ginger.

4. Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it on the stove.

5. Place garlic and ginger in a hot frying pan. Fry the two ingredients and remove from the pan when ready.

6. Next, add the offal, onion and carrot to the pan. Add your favorite herbs and spices. For example, dried basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano or coriander.

7. Fry the ingredients for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the cucumbers. After 10 minutes, add sour cream, cucumbers and horseradish.

8. Season the ingredients in the pan with salt and pepper. After that, mix everything and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Ready chicken gizzards can be served with rice, buckwheat, mashed potatoes. There is another option for cooking this offal - in the oven with mushrooms, cheese and spices. Both options prove that you can make a good dish from chicken gizzards.
