This dish is delicious and filling thanks to the minced chicken, mushrooms and aromatic sauce, and it's all topped off with a crispy lavash base.
Chefs advise adding nutmeg and pepper mixture to the filling. The pie is multi-layered, creating the impression that it is made of puff pastry. This effect is provided by the ready-made lavash.
The list of ingredients for the pie consists of:
1. Cut the onion into small cubes and grate the onion on a coarse grater. Cut the mushrooms into strips.
2. Grind the chicken in a blender or meat grinder.
3. Fry the onion in a small amount of oil until golden brown. Then add the carrots and stew the vegetables for 5 minutes. Then add the champignons and fry for another 5 minutes.
4. Add minced meat to the vegetables and mushrooms. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, then add salt, pepper and nutmeg. Simmer the filling over moderate heat until the chicken mince is ready.
5. To prepare the filling, beat the eggs, sour cream and salt in a bowl. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
6. Grease the baking dish with oil, then cover it with lavash and make high sides. Put a third of the filling on top of the lavash, sprinkle with cheese and pour 3 tbsp. of filling.
7. Two more sheets of lavash are cut to the size of the pan and laid out one after the other, greased with the filling and poured with the filling.
8. The top of the pie is covered with a whole lavash, which is sprinkled with cheese, topped with filling and decorated with mushrooms.
9. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Bake the pie for 30 minutes.
