Most of the dishes in which eggplant is a key ingredient have Asian roots.

That's why they are traditionally cooked with an abundance of spices and seasonings. But this is not the only thing that makes this vegetable special. Almost any dish can be cooked from eggplants.

If you choose the right seasoning, your guests may not even guess that there is not a gram of meat in the dish. But it is not only spices that can improve the taste of vegetables. Sauces also cope with this task perfectly.

Ingredients

  • eggplants – 2 pcs.;
  • tomato paste – 2 tablespoons;
  • mayonnaise – 2 tablespoons;
  • dill – 3 sprigs;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • spices – to taste.

How to prepare the dish

1. Cut the eggplants in half. Rub salt into each part, then pierce the vegetables with a fork so that the sauce penetrates better.

2. Mix all the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Grease the eggplants with the resulting sauce and place them in a baking dish.

3. Additionally, sprinkle the vegetables with cheese – this makes it more filling. You can also add minced meat on top.

4. Cook the eggplants in the oven for 25-30 minutes. at a temperature of 200 °C.
