If you find mashed potatoes or dumplings boring, you can try making dumplings with potatoes and mushrooms.

This is one of the easiest dumpling recipes that will please both adults and children.

The list of ingredients consists of:

  • flour – 3 cups;
  • water – 1 glass;
  • eggs – 1 pc.;
  • potatoes – 0.6 kg;
  • onions - 2 onions;
  • mushrooms – 0.4 kg;
  • vegetable oil and salt.

How to make dumplings with potatoes and mushrooms

1. Boil the potatoes until done, and chop the onions and mushrooms and fry them in a frying pan with oil.

2. Mash the potatoes, then add mushrooms and onions. Mix the ingredients thoroughly to make the filling for the dumplings.

3. Sift the flour, pour in ice water, and then add the egg. Then knead the soft dough.

4. Roll the mixture into a ball, then cover with a towel and let it sit for half an hour.

5. If everything is done correctly, the dough will be elastic. Sprinkle the work area with flour, roll out the dough and use a glass to cut out circles for the dumplings.

6. Next, put in the filling and carefully form the dumplings, beautifully twisting the edges.

7. Bring the water to a boil, add salt and put the dumplings in the pan. Cook the dish on the stove for about 5 minutes.

Squeeze a couple of cloves of garlic into a deep bowl, add 3 tbsp. tomato paste, 1 tsp. vinegar, 1 tsp. sugar and pepper.
