A microwave oven makes life much easier for cooks. After all, you can defrost and reheat food in this device.

However, it needs to be done correctly. Oddly enough, the way the food is arranged on the plate is of great importance.

If you simply put porridge, pilaf or pasta on a plate, the side dish is unlikely to heat up evenly.

Most likely, part of the dish will become very hot, and part will remain cold. Of course, such an outcome is unlikely to please a gourmet.

To avoid trouble, you need to do one important step before placing a plate with a dish in the microwave oven.

What action are we talking about?

The side dish should be distributed so that the food is located only along the edges of the plate, and the center of the dish should be empty.

In other words, the porridge or pasta should be raked with a fork or spoon so that there is nothing in the middle. The food should be presented in the form of a "ring".

It is under this condition that the side dish will heat up evenly. There will be no unheated rice, pasta or pieces of meat.

A minute of heating will be quite enough. The cook will definitely not have to stir the dish and return the plate to the microwave.
