Pickled cucumbers won't go to waste: a simple recipe for a hot dish

The smell of this simple dish alone will whet your appetite.

If you have a jar of pickled cucumbers left unused after the winter, don’t rush to throw it away.

From winter preparations you can prepare an excellent dish for lunch or even dinner.

To make it, you will need the following ingredients:

  • meat broth – 3.5 l;
  • pickled cucumbers – 5 pcs.;
  • onion – 1 pc.;
  • potatoes – 4 pcs.;
  • smoked sausages – 6 pcs.;
  • smoked bacon – 1 pack;
  • tomato paste – 2 tablespoons;
  • salt, pepper and spices – to taste;
  • lemon and herbs – for serving.

How to prepare

1. Chop the cucumbers and onions, then heat a frying pan with oil. Place the vegetables on it and lightly fry them. Then add the tomato paste.

2. The products are stewed for about 10 minutes. Then chopped sausages and bacon are added to the ingredients in the frying pan.

3. Put the meat broth on the fire and add the sliced potatoes. When the vegetable becomes soft, add the fried mixture to the pan.

4. Then add salt, pepper, and before serving, add lemon and herbs to the dish on the plate.
