How housewives clean champignons “from experience”: a simple method without water

The question of whether or not to clean champignons before eating them still remains open.

Chefs who are against this action cite one weighty argument: if you put mushrooms under running water, they will certainly absorb moisture.

You can’t really argue with that, but leaving the mushrooms dirty is also not a good idea.

Therefore, it makes sense to use a method that does not require water at all.

Instead, place the mushrooms in a container and add 4-5 tablespoons of regular wheat flour.

Cover the container with a lid and shake gently so that the flour coats all the mushrooms.

After this, clean off the flour with a paper towel – along with it, you will also get rid of the dirt stuck to the mushrooms.

Even if some flour remains on the mushrooms, it’s not a problem; this product will not interfere in any way when frying or in other cases.
