How to save oversalted cutlets if they are already fried: little culinary tricks

It is not difficult to save oversalted cutlet mince. It is enough to “dilute” the meat base with bland ingredients. For example, rice or vegetables.

But what should you do if you discover that there is too much salt after the cutlets have been cooked?

You can fix the dish even in this situation. However, you will have to act differently.

However, you can’t do without additional ingredients even after cooking the cutlets in a frying pan.

The first way

If the cutlets are too salty, they should be returned to the frying pan, pour some water into the dish, cover everything with a lid and simmer the dish.

As a result, excess salt will end up in the liquid, which will soon evaporate.

The second way

Oversalted cutlets, again, can be stewed, but not “alone”.

You can add diced potatoes and a couple of small pieces of butter to the pan. Of course, you don't need to use sodium chloride anymore.

In this case, the stewing time should be about half an hour. The result will be a full meal: meat plus a side dish.

The third way

The cutlets can be placed in a baking dish and covered with unsalted milk sauce or sour cream diluted with water.

The dish with the contents should be put in the oven for 20 minutes. The baked dish will not only stop being oversalted, but will also turn out incredibly appetizing.
