How to Make Real Italian Pizza: The Secret Is in the Dough

Only Italians know the real secret of the perfect pizza that you will want to cook again and again.

This dish is prepared in many restaurants and cafes, but some chefs have deviated from traditional versions, bringing in some of their own developments.

With them, pizza has become better in some ways, but true connoisseurs of this dish love the classic version.

So, Italians do not add yeast to the dough. The inhabitants of the European state prepare it a little differently than in other countries.

  • flour – 1.5 cups;
  • baking powder – 1 teaspoon;
  • salt – ½ teaspoon;
  • water – 100 ml;
  • olive oil – 4 tablespoons.

Preparation

1. Sift the flour well and add baking powder and salt. Pour in water and olive oil, stirring the ingredients.

2. Next comes the important work, which will largely determine the quality of the dough for the future pizza. The dough is thoroughly kneaded for 6 minutes, and then formed into a ball.

3. Then sprinkle the work surface with flour. Roll out the dough ball, forming sides.

4. Place the "pancake" on a baking sheet and add your favorite filling. There are no limits to your imagination here. You can even make it with fruit.

5. Place the baking tray with the pizza in the oven preheated to 180 °C. Bake the dish for 50-60 minutes. The golden edges of the dough will serve as a guide.
