Experienced cooks told us how to make stuffing for cabbage rolls even tastier.

If you are tired of classic minced meat with rice, it is time to change the usual recipe a little.

No exotic products are required for this. The ingredients are simple, but the taste will surprise even the pickiest.

Products:

  • millet – 200 g;
  • bacon – 200 g;
  • onions – 120 g;
  • parsley – 20-30 g.

Bacon in this recipe can be replaced with lard or brisket, which must be pre-fried.

Preparation

1. First, the bacon is thinly sliced. The strips are about 0.5 cm thick. After slicing, the bacon is placed in a frying pan and fried until a crust appears. No oil is needed for frying.

2. Boil millet for 15 minutes as usual.

3. After the bacon, there will be fat left in the frying pan. On it, fry the onion, which is cut into small cubes.

4. Combine the onion with millet and bacon. Add chopped parsley and form the cabbage rolls. The cabbage leaves are first scalded well with boiling water.
