How to Make Sweet Cheese-Filled Donuts: A Taste Bud Delight

An original appetizer based on a recipe by chef and TV presenter Ilya Lazerson.

The chef explained how to create a unique combination of sweet dough and cheese.

Lazerson shared the recipe for the treat in a video on his YouTube channel.

Ingredients

Products for the dough:

  • flour – 250 g;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • fresh yeast – 7 g;
  • sugar – 60 g;
  • milk – 75 g;
  • butter;
  • salt.

For the sauce:

  • butter – 40 g;
  • flour – 40 g;
  • cream – 110 g;
  • milk – 80 g;
  • cheese – 100 g;
  • mustard – 1 teaspoon.

Preparation

1. Start by making the dough. Combine eggs, flour, milk, yeast, sugar and salt. Knead the dough and put it in a warm place to rise.

2. While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. Melt the butter, add flour. Heat the mixture a little, and then pour in milk and cream at the same time.

3. Mix the ingredients in a frying pan until you get a thick mass, to which add cheese and mustard.

4. The risen dough is divided into several parts. They are placed on a baking sheet and left to rest a little longer.

5. Fry the doughnuts in a saucepan with oil over low heat. When the doughnuts have cooled, make a small hole in them and add the filling. This is easiest to do with a pastry bag.
