Many housewives want to surprise their guests with a sweet treat, but they don’t want to bother with baking.

In this case, you can make caramelized tangerines. This simple dessert will definitely charge everyone with the atmosphere of the New Year and Christmas.

There are two options for the treat: for children and adults. The only difference is the addition of cognac, which is almost imperceptible.

Ingredients:

  • tangerines – 10-12 pcs.;
  • sugar – 120 g;
  • water – 120 ml;
  • cognac – 30 ml.

Step by step preparation

1. Place the peeled tangerines in a deep bowl. Pierce each fruit several times with a toothpick.

2. Pour sugar into a saucepan and place on the stove. The ingredient should acquire a light caramel color. Stir occasionally to prevent the sugar from burning.

3. Pour water and cognac into a saucepan. Heat the ingredients over low heat until smooth.

4. Pour the resulting mixture over the tangerines. Then put the mixture in the refrigerator for several hours.

5. When the dessert has set, place it on a plate and serve with tea.
